Taking Care of Your Boat
A family-run shipyard built on craftsmanship and consistency
Our shipyard was founded in 1970, and we started out building wooden boats. And wood has a way of teaching
you discipline. It doesn’t forgive sloppy work. If your measurements are off or your finish is rushed, it
shows. So over the years, that hands-on experience shaped how we work today: with accuracy, proper
application, and real attention to detail. Because in shipbuilding, quality isn’t only what you see at the
end. It’s everything that happens before the final coat goes on.
How we grew in the 1980s
In the mid-1980s, we expanded to cover more of what boat owners needed day to day. But our mindset didn’t
change. We still believe in clear steps, proper preparation and work that holds up over time, not work
that looks good for a week and then starts peeling or fading.
Our facilities today
Today, we operate across 10,000 sq.m. and offer modern, safe winter storage and service berths for GRP
(plastic) and wooden boats, as well as small vessels. The whole place runs with a practical approach, so
every boat is handled with the care it deserves, from the moment it comes in until it’s ready to go back
out.
Maintenance, repair, and protection
We handle painting, anti-fouling, and polishing using products from well-known marine brands. But here’s what I mean when I say “quality”: It’s choosing the right materials for the surface. It’s applying them the right way. That’s what helps keep the boat looking sharp and protected in the marine environment.
We use modern methods to remove old anti-fouling, so the next protective coating goes onto a proper base. And honestly, this step is where a lot of jobs win or lose. When the base is right, you get better adhesion between layers, a clearer picture of the hull’s condition and a protection system that lasts longer.
We specialize in the prevention and treatment of osmosis in GRP (plastic) boats. That means we follow modern methods for removing old anti-fouling and apply up-to-date anti-osmosis protection materials.
We’ve been in this since 1970, starting with wooden boatbuilding. That background shapes everything. It teaches you to respect materials, focus on the details and treat every job with the seriousness it deserves.
We work with a steady team of technical partners: an electrician, an engineer, a machinist, and a naval architect. This matters when a project needs more than one specialty, because the work stays consistent and well-coordinated, instead of feeling fragmented and messy.
Our commitment comes down to three simple things: protecting your boat, doing technical work properly, every time, keeping communication clear and straightforward. We care about maintaining your boat’s value. Because when the time comes to sell, or when you’re heading out on a long trip, you want to know the boat has been looked after in the right way.
